A senior consultant at Yuan Associates, Charles Ma has fourteen years of experience working for multinational companies based in China. He is also an entrepreneur, who has his own company in the United States.

Mr. Ma spent ten years at the Beijing representative office of VA Tech Hydro, the largest Austrian supplier of hydroelectric generators and related equipment. As the company’s vice director of marketing and sales, he oversaw US $50 million of sales per year. Since power plants are major state projects, his work often brought him into contact with government agencies, including the State Planning Commission (currently reorganized as the National Development and Reform Commission) and the Ministry of International Commerce and Economic Cooperation (currently reorganized as the Ministry of Commerce). Prior to working at VA Tech Hydro, Mr. Ma worked as a sales manager at the Beijing office of Develing International Trade Co. Ltd., a Dutch company dealing in trade and distribution of raw and semi-raw materials for industrial use. He also spent several years as a government employee at the No. 6 Research Institute of Aerospace and Aeronautics.

Mr. Ma holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from Nanjing Aeronautics University and an English and Foreign Trade Certificate from Beijing Foreign Language University. He has received specialized technical training in Europe, and has managed his own company, Golden Chance International Inc., in the United States for three years. Mr. Ma speaks Mandarin and fluent English.
