Zhang Jing, Partner and General Manager

Zhang Jing joined Yuan Associates in 2007. As a partner and General Manager, Ms. Zhang has a wealth of knowledge working with state-owned businesses and with government agencies. While at Yuan Associates, she has worked as a government affairs consultant with a number of multinational clients in retail, agriculture, food and beverage industries, as well as an American state organization.

Ms. Zhang was formerly a business consultant with Garvey Schubert Barer (GSB), a U.S. law firm based in Beijing.  Before joining GSB, she served as First Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office at the Chinese Embassy to the U.S. in Washington D.C.  Her work there included providing business consulting and trade promotion for both Chinese and American companies involved in China-U.S. trade.

Ms. Zhang also has significant experience in import and export business as she worked in the China National Native Produce and Animal By-Products Import and Export Corporation (China Tuhsu) for 12 years in a variety of positions.  She served as a senior executive of various subsidiaries of China Tuhsu including the Deputy General Manager of the China Tea Import and Export Corporation, the General Manager at the China Tuhsu Flavor and Fragrance Import and Export Corporation, and the President of Sunry (Singapore) International.

Ms. Zhang holds a BA in Economics from the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, and did business management post-graduate work at the University of Toronto, Canada.  She speaks fluent English.
