Jon Stewart is a consultant on government affairs for major international firms. Combining a professional background with his education and experience living in Asia, he offers business insight as well as a unique perspective on modern China.

Mr. Stewart worked as a sales representative for a US firm for two years, managing a database of contacts in over 20 states. Then, following completion of his education, Mr. Stewart returned to Asia, and to China, as an expert for the bizChina department of China Daily Website.

As a child, Mr. Stewart spent eight years in Hong Kong and Singapore. He has lived in Asia for over ten years.

Mr. Stewart holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Comparative Politics from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a conversational Chinese speaker.
